Industrial server motherboard for 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processors

Industrial server motherboard for 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processors
Aaeon has created a server motherboard for Intel’s 3rd generation Xeon Scalable Processors – codenamed Ice Lake-SP.
The industrial ATX board is called ARES-WHI0.
“This new generation of Xeon SP brings higher processing speeds and Intel’s deep learning boost technology, allowing for greater acceleration and more efficient processing for AI server applications,” according to Aaeon. “ARES-WHI0 takes advantage of the Whitley platform to deliver performance and support for a range of deployments from server board, AI computing and industrial control applications.”
It has three PCIe Gen 4 (x16) slots and one PCIe 3.0 (x8) with x16 form factor, allowing the board to power up to four GPUs for applications such as AI-based visual inspection. ....

Intel's Full Enterprise Portfolio: An Interview with VP of Xeon, Lisa Spelman

With the launch of Intel’s Third Generation Xeon Scalable platform based on 10nm Ice Lake processors, Intel has upgraded a part of the company that makes the BIG money. For the last few years Intel has been pivoting from a CPU-centric company to a Data-centric company, leveraging the fact that more and more of its product lines are built towards the datacenter mindset. With the launch of the new server platform in this past week, Intel is gearing itself up for an enterprise stack built on 10nm, PCIe 4.0, and cryptographic acceleration.
Alongside the new 10nm Ice Lake Xeons, Intel also has Optane persistent memory, 200 gigabit Ethernet, Stratix and Agilex FPGAs, high-performance SSDs with 3D NAND, Optane-based storage, AI hardware with Movidius and Habana, Tofino network switching, eASIC technology, and upcoming X ....

Intel Sapphire Rapids to feature 64GB of HBM2e memory

After Intel’s Ice Lake announcement, it’s time for Sapphire Rapids to come into the spotlight. A detailed leak about the upcoming data centre platform has just emerged, suggesting that Sapphire Rapids will be quite the upgrade compared to Ice Lake, with the upcoming Xeons set to feature 64GB of HBM2 memory.
It’s worth noting that the image sent to VideoCardz doesn’t appear to be entirely recent, as it still lists Ice Lake as a 2020 product. However, the rest of the information does appear to be accurate.
Based on Intel’s 10nm Enhanced SuperFin node, the Sapphire Rapids processors are expected to feature up to 56 cores, a maximum TDP of 350W, and can be used simultaneously at up to 8x sockets. Sapphire Rapids CPUs will support up to 8x channels of DDR5-4800 memory and up to 80x PCIe lanes (PCIe 5.0 and 4.0). ....
