Quintana Roo reaches 2,000 Coronavirus-related deaths

Cancun, Q.R. — The state of Quintana Roo has reached 2,000 deaths related to the Coronavirus. The figures were released yesterday by the state health secretary which details since the pandemic began in March, Quintana Roo has recorded 15,424 infections. Of those infections, 790 remain active.
A majority of those deaths have been recorded in Benito Juárez (Cancun) with 1,262 victims. The municipality of Solidaridad (Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras) has reported 228 deaths to date, an 11 percent fatality rate.
Covid figures for Quintana Roo
The municipality of Othón P. Blanco (Chetumal, Mahahual) has had 227 deaths, followed by Cozumel with 105 and Felipe Carrillo Puerto with 54 Coronavirus victims. Other state municipalities have not exceed 35 deaths.
