Homegrown company Padget Electronics has been approved by the Empowered Committee to receive incentive under mobile manufacturing for the quarter January-March this year based on its incremental investments.
India's mobile exports so far during the current financial year are worth around Rs 50,000 crore and are expected to quadruple in comparison to that in 2020-21, DPIIT Secretary Anurag Jain told ANI.
India has approved 10 mobile manufacturing beneficiaries, including Dixon Technologies and Samsung, to disburse incentive under PLI Scheme.
