Pasay government inoculates 9,864 individuals with two doses of vaccines

The Pasay City Health Office (CHO) recorded a total of 9,864 health care workers, senior citizens, and adults with co-morbidities were inoculated with Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the report submitted to her by the CHO showed that 4,653 health care workers in the four hospitals in the city, public and private, received their first dose of the vaccines while 940 received their second dose.
Rubiano said the CHO is targeting to inoculate 3,377 health workers, 3,000 with Sinovac and 730 with AstraZeneca, totaling 3,730 or 110.45 percent. for the first dose.
She said 541 health workers already had their second dose of Sinovac vaccines.

The Philippines rolled out the vaccination program on March 1 with the 600,000 CoronaVac doses donated by the Chinese government. Of the 600,000 doses, 189,600 have already been delivered, including 12,000 sent to Davao City and 7,200 to Cebu City.
“Vaccination activities in those cities are expected to commence today,” Nograles said.
According to the Palace official, the government already has the data of the “master-listed population” in the country’s 17 regions.
‘As of yesterday, the master-listed population stands at 222,783 and the vaccines shall be administered to them in 243 vaccination sites in all 17 regions of the country– 94 sites across Luzon, 18 in the Visayas, and 131 in Mindanao,” Nograles said.

Pasay mayor recovers from COVID-19

The recovery of the mayor was confirmed by Pasay City Public Information Office (PIO) chief, Jun Burgos, adding that Calixto-Rubiano is ready to get back to work at the City Hall next week.
Burgos said that Calixto-Rubiano was still monitoring the developments on the city’s vaccination program even while she was undergoing a 14-day quarantine.
Despite her condition, the PIO chief said the mayor was still attending virtual meetings about COVID-19.
On February 9, the mayor announced that she has tested positive for COVID-19.
Calixto-Rubiano said she underwent a swab test after experiencing flu-like symptoms.
