SOUTHINGTON, CT The Gold Key Dinner, a yearly extravaganza honoring great Connecticut athletes, coaches and sports personalities since 1940, has been re-scheduled for a fourth time due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 79th Dinner, put on by the Connecticut Sports Writers Alliance (CSWA), was originally slated for April 2020, but will now take place Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021 at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington. Gold Key recipients are: ....

SYOSSET, NY Amazon s proposed warehouse in Syosset recently approved by the Town of Oyster Bay will be vetted on Wednesday by project experts from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation during a virtual meeting on remediation plans for the roughly 40-acre site.
The DEC and the New York State Department of Health, which weigh in on most proposed developments, will have project experts make a presentation detailing the site s Brownfield Cleanup Program, which is aimed at revitalizing blighted properties for industrial use. Project experts will also provide the history of the site, which is located at 305 Robbins Ln., and proposed site cleanup plans, as well as answer questions from the public. ....
