The Letter of Acceptance for the Contract is issued by the Authority and the works are scheduled to be completed in a period of 48 months.

The former J&K governor had last year alleged that he had been asked to clear two files, one pertaining to 'Ambani' and the other to an 'RSS functionary' after being offered a bribe of Rs 300 crore.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a case into alleged corruption in a hydroelectric power project in Jammu and Kashmir, after former Governor Satyapal Malik alleged irregularities.

Malik had said he was offered a Rs 300-crore bribe to clear a hydroelectric power project and a health insurance scheme for government employees.
