The main objective of the stimulus is to use public investment to create jobs rapidly and at scale to provide support to those who need it most.
Minister in the Presidency Mondli Gungubele said that more than 550,000 jobs and livelihoods were supported during phase one of the Presidential Employment Stimulus, against an overall target of 694,120 opportunities.
As Government, we have been very consistent in our fight against unemployment, poverty and inequality. We continue to resist and refuse any attempts to defocus us. We are steadfast and resolute in fighting unemployment, inequality and eradication of poverty in our lifetime!
