Former MERA CEO Collins Magalasi's case adjourned to March 9

Th Court in Lilongwe has adjourned to March 30, 2021 a case involving former Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) chief executive officer Collins Magalasi. Magalasi was appearing before the Senior Resident Magistrate’s Court in Lilongwe in connection with the abuse of K10.5 million at MERA in 2018. He pleaded not guilty to the charges of abuse of office and fraud. Magalasi is accused of using the money from MERA to pay for the accommodation of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) officials.
