April 21, 2021 A road improvement project has been approved in Hartland Township. The Board of Trustees met Tuesday night and approved a contract agreement with the Livingston County Road Commission for the rehabilitation of Parshallville Road. Work involves an asphalt overlay of roughly .34 miles from the end of the current pavement on Parshallville Road to Linden Road. The project is pegged at $165,000 but since it’s included in the Road Commission’s Pavement Preservation Program, the cost of the work is shared and the township is only responsible for 50%. I...

January 16, 2021 The Tyrone Township Board is weighing potential road projects for the coming year. At a recent virtual meeting, the board discussed possible road projects to consider for the Livingston County Road Commission’s Primary Road Pavement Preservation Program. It was stated during the meeting that all local roads are way underfunded so the county has been focusing on paving primary roads through cost sharing agreements with local municipalities in which each party pays 50%. The township doesn’t have a road millage and thus has to budget for projects....
