Nearly five crore new subscribers joined Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) scheme between September 2017 and October 2021, the government data showed on Friday.
According to the latest data, which is part of a report released by the NSO, gross new enrollments with ESIC stood at 10.78 lakh in April, 8.91 lakh in May, 10.68 lakh in June, 13.40 lakh in July and 13.47 lakh in August this year.
Around 4.71 lakh crore new subscribers joined the EPF (Employees' Provident Funds) scheme between September 2017 to September 2021, official data showed on Thursday, giving a perspective on formal sector employment in India.
Gross new enrolments with Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) were 10.74 lakh in April, 8.88 lakh in May, 10.62 lakh in June and 13.33 lakh in July this year, the latest data showed.
