A High Court in Kano State, Nigeria has convicted and sentenced five Nigerian men to two weeks imprisonment and ordered them to sweep the premises of the Nigeria Immigration Service for conspiring to steal the sum of N1,398,972.19 from Jaiz Bank.   The five fraudsters convicted by Justice Zuwaira Yusuf are Salim Mohammed Sarki; Sani M. Auwalu; Bashir Bashir Nasidi; Aliyu Mika'il Muhammed and Yahaya Abdullahi Abubakar, popularly known as Shoki.  

The Nigerian police have arrested one Pastor Joel Saul in Adamawa State for alleged attempted kidnapping. The cleric reportedly threatened to kidnap one Oliver Mamza if he failed to deliver N1million to him, according to a police First Information Report (FIR). On Monday, a Chief Magistrate Court I, sitting in Yola, Adamawa state, remanded Pastor Saul for allegedly attempting to commit kidnapping.

A Jigawa State High Court, sitting in Dutse, has sentenced a 60-year-old man, Dayyabu Madaki to life imprisonment for defiling a girl. The defendant was
