J&K remains overall champion J&K remains overall champion 9th National Pencak Silat C’ship Excelsior Sports Correspondent SRINAGAR, Mar 31: J&K remained overall champion in Pre Teen, Sub Junior and Junior categories, while Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra stood 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 9th National Pencak Silat Championship which was organised at Indoor Sports Complex Polo Ground, here. The eight days championship was inaugurated on March 24 which was organized by the Indian Pencak Silat Federation in collaboration with the Pencak Silat Association of J&K and J&K State Sports Council. Around 2100 players and officials from more than 30 States and UTs participated in this event. In this event, participants of Paramilitary forces and JK Police teams also participated in the senior category. ....
