'Our target is to get the next nine points' - FC Goa's Juan Ferrando wants more than just draws in ACL 2021

FC Goa's performance in their maiden AFC Champions League (ACL) appearance has been commendable as the Indian Super League (ISL) side has managed to pick up two points from their first three matches and has managed to get draws against Qatar's Al-Rayyan and UAE's Al Wahda in their first two matches.
Ferrando though is not fully satisfied as he stated that the philosophy of the club is to win matches and not remain satisfied with draws.
"I am not very happy because our mentality in this club is to win games," opined Ferrando. "But we know are in the AFC Champions League and here there are very difficult games. At certain points our performance was good.

Persepolis' Yahya Golmohammadi - FC Goa are not a weak team

The former Iran international also pointed out that the two goals they have conceded so far have come from free-kicks and he mentioned that his team needs to work on defending set-pieces.
“We will try to focus well on defending free-kicks so that it is not seen as a weakness for Persepolis. The two goals we conceded from set-pieces were very rare and the fact that they happened twice may be a cause for concern. However, we need to address this issue with more practice and will remain focused.”

The Iranian champions have so far maintained a hundred per cent track record in the AFC Champions League. They began their campaign with a narrow 1-0 win over UAE's Al Wahda followed by a thumping 3-1 win over Qatar's Al-Rayyan and a narrow 2-1 win over FC Goa.

FC Goa have taken the AFC Champions League (ACL) by storm as the Indian Super League (ISL) side have scripted history after just their first two matches in their maiden campaign in the competition.
What is the record?
Juan Ferrando's FC Goa are the first team in the history of the AFC Champions League to register back-to-back draws in their first two matches of the competition. The Indian side, who are placed in the Group E of the ACL, began their debut campaign with a goalless draw against Qatar Stars League side Al-Rayyan and then repeated the result in their second match against UAE's Al Wahda.
