The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), enabling both the organisations to leverage the synergy between the tourism and events industries.
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is delighted to announce the successful completion of the finance and digital skills workshops for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in tourism, which took place in Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia and the Philippines. These workshops were part of PATA's collaboration with Visa to build the capacity of tourism businesses in Southeast Asia towards efficient financial management and increased digital literacy.
The newly released PATA ‘Annual Tourism Monitor 2023’ report shows that international visitor arrival (IVA) numbers in 2022 were the strongest since 2019, and strengthened during the early periods of 2023. IVAs by the end of 2023 may exceed 516 million.
