PETALING JAYA: Wellness and cinema industry operators have welcomed the government’s decision to allow them to reopen under the conditional movement control order.
GSC chief executive officer Koh Mei Lee said she was “happy, thankful and relieved” now that cinemas were finally allowed to reopen.
“We have received a lot of positive reaction from moviegoers welcoming the reopening of cinemas as they have been waiting for such a long time to be able to enjoy their favourite movies on the big screen.

'Let us keep our businesses open', govt urged

PETALING JAYA: The hairdressing, wellness and optical industries have urged the government to reconsider its decision to prohibit them from operating during the movement control order period.
They pointed out that they had not been the cause of any Covid-19 clusters thus far.
Association of Malaysian Optometrists president Ahmad Fadhullah Fuzai called on the government to allow private practice optometrists as well as optical shops to reopen.
He said since the beginning of the pandemic they had not been the cause of any clusters as they had been following the SOP diligently.
