Ukrainian truck drivers, stuck in a kilometers-long queue at the Polish border near the Korczowa-Krakowiec checkpoint, have announced a hunger strike, national broadcaster Suspilne reported on Dec. 1.

Polish police told RMF that Ukrainian truckers were blocking the Przemsyl- Medyka crossing from the Polish side of the border, creating traffic jams that made it difficult for local residents to get home.
Even though some retail chains say they prioritize Ukrainian-made products, certain foodstuffs like cocoa, coffee, oranges, and salt are primarily imported, according to the Director General of the Ukrainian KOLO retail chain, Marina Serhienko.
