San Antonio Zoo welcomes new jaguar Frida, cubs may be coming soon

A new jaguar has arrived at San Antonio Zoo! Her name is Frida, and the zoo hopes to have her breed with their male jaguar, B'alam.

how the zoo prevents against inbreeding? >> we have an organization, the population management center located in the united states. it works throughout all of the zoos working with the species survival program or ssp. we have over 500 species that is working through the ssp and we all work together. it doesn't matter if you are located in new york, ohio or california. we all work to make sure that all of the animals are paired appropriately as they have homes. they can move to different facilities. they always move and plan to make sure that every person has an opportunity to see these beautiful 1350esh ease we have in our care. >> thank you so much. pounding the eastern united states. we will have team coverage of who is being hit hardest and how long the power outages may last. it's getting close to quitting
