Wine 6.0 released – OSnews


From my experience on Linux I found Wine okay. What I do wish “they” would sort out is making it as easy to as Microsofts stuff like easy install and the compatibility stuff auto-configured. I know there are variants of Wine which kind of do this but the ease of use thing would definately reduce friction and make Linux more compelling.
When running Linux I only had a couple of applications I needed to run via Wine. Lightroom 5.x 32 bit worked well after a lot of faffing but 64 bit had graphical glitches or wouldn’t install, I forget which. I have no idea if Wine 6 fixes this. ....
