The government has said that Covid-19 vaccine beneficiaries do not need to register on the CoWIN portal again for their precaution doses. The government added that private centres administering booster doses can levy a maximum of Rs 150 as service charge.
Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla and Bharat Biotech cofounder Suchitra Ella today said that the decision was taken after discussions with the Centre.
Private vaccination centres can charge up to a maximum of Rs 150 as service charge over and above the cost of vaccine for administering the precaution dose.
SII CEO Adar Poonawalla announced the decision to cut the price of Covishield on Twitter. The price of the vaccine has been reduced to Rs 225 per dose.
