Delhi recorded 295 fresh cases of Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours with a positivity rate of 12.48 per cent, according to a daily health bulletin released by the government on Thursday.
Delhi reported 153 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the positivity rate up to 9.13 per cent, as per the government health bulletin. Even though no new covid-19 related death has been reported, experts have advised people to maintain covid protocols – wearing masks and following social distancing, even as cases of H3N2 influenza are also rising.
Ministry of Health and Family Affairs was notified on Tuesday that 4,369 new COVID cases had been reported throughout India during the previous 24 hours.
With a mere 12 per cent coverage of precaution doses across the country so far, the Union Health Ministry has raised concerns over the low inoculation among eligible beneficiaries, said sources on Tuesday.
The usage of Covishield has been the highest as the precaution dose for COVID-19 as compared to other vaccines, said Union Health Ministry sources on Tuesday.
