The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is set to close a 750-meter stretch of Ashram Road in December to make way for two important projects: the Vadaj Ramdevpir Tekra slum rehabilitation project and the Gandhi Ashram Memorial and Precinct Development Project. To accommodate the closure, a new road is being built adjacent to Cargo Motors, which will connect to a proposed 24-meter-wide road and eventually to the 132ft Ring Road.
