"Turning Red" is the third Pixar release to have its theatrical run canceled by Disney.
Pixar's future may lie in the world of streaming. The animation studio's next original offering — Turning Red — is foregoing a traditional theatrical release for an exclusive streaming debut at Disney+ on Friday, March 11. Theatrical screenings are still planned for countries and territories where the subscription platform is not widely available.

Disney is swapping one of its next big movies from theatrical release to streaming. Turning Red is the next family-friendly film from Pixar, and in countries with Disney Plus, that’s the only way to see it starting on March 11th.
