Premier Alan Winde's State of the Province Address (SOPA) clearly shows that this DA-led provincial government’s primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of all its residents, along with economic growth and job creation. I welcome the various announcement by the Premier, as it demonstrates the visionary leadership that is only available under a DA-led government. These announcements include a few firsts and the shifting of certain responsibilities and functions. Amongst others, we are excited to see what the new Department of Infrastructure will entail.

Western Cape Premier Alan Winde's Sopa will be delivered in the West Coast town of Velddrif on Tuesday, which falls under the Democratic Alliance (DA)-run Bergriver Municipality.

It is probably inevitable that when our President makes a solid, inspiring speech detailing the challenges we face , progress made and plans for the year ahead, that * some will want to claim aspects of the speech as their own and even say it comes from their manifesto 

The Western Cape government plans to tackle unemployment and crime, as well as promote investment, infrastructure development, and economic growth.
