Bollywood actress and international sensation Priyanka Chopra, who portrayed the role of legendary Mary Kom in the 2014 National Award-winning biopic film on the boxer, took to her Twitter handle on Thursday to pen a heartfelt appreciation note for the athlete after she exited from the Tokyo Olympics on Thursday.

Global star Priyanka Chopra, who portrayed the role of legendary boxer in the 2014 National Award Winning biopic film, penned a heartfelt appreciation note for the athlete after she exited from the Olympics on Thursday. Taking to her Twitter handle, Priyanka applauded Mary for inspiring everyone with what she has achieved with her passion and dedication.

Critically acclaimed film ‘The White Tiger’ had received great reviews from the audience. The performance of actors Priyanka Chopra, Adarsh Gourav and Rajkummar Rao was lauded by viewers. Adarsh was also nominated for the BAFTA awards for his role while the film scored an Oscars 2021 nomination for the ‘Best Adapted Screenplay’ category.
Recently, ‘Fukrey’ actor Ali Fazal revealed that he had even auditioned for Rajkummar Rao’s role in the film which was an adaptation of the Booker Prize-winning novel by Arvind Adiga.

Olympic winner and gymnast Simone Biles put her mental health at the forefront and pulled out of the team gymnastics event as well as the individual all-around competition at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The shock exit put global spotlight on mental health once more as Biles' decision was hailed by several international personalities who applauded the young star for putting herself first. 
One of them was Priyanka Chopra who penned down words of encouragement for the young gymnast. Sharing a video of an interview she did with Biles a few years ago for her YouTube series, Priyanka wrote, "Role model, Champion… @simonebiles I had the joy of getting to know @simonebiles a few years ago, and she blew me away then with her vulnerability and self awareness." 

Taking to his Instagram handle, Varun Dhawan wrote, "What an inspiration! An important reminder to take care of your mental health along with your physical! A message for difficult times like these."
For the unversed, American gymnast Simone Biles has cited mental health concerns as her reason to pull out of the women's team final in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics 2020.
The Rio 2016 gold-medal-winning athlete doesn't want to put her "health and well-being" in danger.
"Whenever you get in a high-stress situation, you kind of freak out. I have to focus on my mental health and not jeopardize my health and well-being," CNN quoted Biles as saying.

Priyanka Chopra has put up a post supporting Simone Biles. The actress has shared a clip from her interview of the gymnast on Instagram, where Simone Biles is seen talking about the ‘hardest part’ of her career.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has praised Simone Biles following the US gymnast’s decision to drop out of the Tokyo Olympics due to her mental health struggles.
Chopra posted a video from when she hung out with and interviewed the athlete for her YouTube Originals Special, ‘If I Could Tell You Just One Thing’.
In the interview, which was released in March 2019, Chopra talked to the gymnast about dealing with the expectation of being perfect.
“I feel like that’s the hardest part of my career. I don’t want to say job because I chose to do it, but I feel like always meeting people’s needs, every single day, all the time is probably the hardest thing that I go through,” Biles says in the clip.
