Negotiation tactic of this? do the republicans put out this wish list saying, okay, democrats or republicans eject and use this as a negotiating tool so they can talk about how the process isn't working for them. >> i would guess that that's probably likely. i mean, like daniel said, this is kind of a nonstarter with a lot of the people on this list, so i would assume that, you know, the more people that democrats refuse to put forward, the more ammunition against republicans -- i mean, it's important to kind of keep in context the broader atmosphere that we're working with. obviously, we have...

Republican colleagues? >> reporter: well, i think what will happen is my former republican colleagues will be forced to acknowledge that the president's conduct as it relates to ukraine was simply awful. they can't defend him. they can't try to defend it, even bashing the process isn't doing them any good. so they have to acknowledge the behavior was terrible. now, whether or not this rises to the level of impeachable defense is another debate they may want to have. but i think they cannot simply defend the conduct. >> that's exactly right so we will keep our eye on this picture. cameras are u...

In people's minds here. >> that's part of what they're going to do because the process isn't going in their favor. everything is now transparent and it's working according to the rule of law. the facts aren't in their favorite because as we see from all of the transcripts there is plenty of corroboration of how there was a campaign effectively within the white house to manipulate the state department, to manipulate diplomats through rudy giuliani. they effectively sicked their goons on career national security professionals and got them to leave so that they can make their own policy and their...

>> yeah, i don't know if i want my husband to read my like a 200-word bed-time story a night. >> no, no. >> isn't it weird, erin, that you and i have to talk about which male candidates know how to be around women? isn't that weird? >> i think it's mega weird, first of all, because we are like half the population, and i kind of wonder how many of you actually hang out with women. women you're not married to or women that your women didn't give birth to? how many of you really have a grasp on us as people? and that's something that is really surprising to see. >> people. yeah. >> we're just peo...
