Bangladesh will receive 2 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine Covishield as a gift from India on January 20.
Citing the letter by the Indian High Commission written to the Bangladesh Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Dhaka Tribune reported that a special flight from India carrying the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines, locally manufactured by Serum Institute of India, would land at Shahjalal International Airport on January 20. ....

Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho said that the vaccine should be available to those who could not afford it, who have comorbidities, and who are the front-line fighters against the contagious disease.
KARACHI: Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho on Friday lamented that the federal government has not taken provinces into confidence regarding the coronavirus vaccination timeline.
Pechuho said she found out about the federal government’s stance on vaccine through media reports.
The PPP minister said it was difficult to say when the vaccine will be available for the public, adding that there has been no contact with vaccine manufacturers. ....
