Kogi Local Council Boss, APC-Sponsored Thugs Arrested With Ammunition, Cash; Millions Of Naira For Vote-Buying Impounded

Soldiers on election duty in the Igalamela local government area of Kogi State early Saturday morning intercepted and arrested the council chairman and several supporters of the All Progressives Party (APC) for being in possession of ammunition and lots of cash. The soldiers impounded the cash running into millions of naira as well as a large cache of ammunition. This comes as Kogo residents go to the polls to vote in a new governor for the state. The money and the ammunition were packed in several ‘Ghana-must-go’ bags and the ammunition.
