The Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) is taking action against warehousing and distribution provider Winit (AU) Trade Pty Ltd, alleging the company underpaid 30 vulnerable workers in Sydney. The company could face millions of dollars in penalties, and the company’s director and general manager Song Cheng could be slapped with hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines himself. While the alleged underpayments range from $446 to $28,202, the Ombudsman alleges that 19 employees were underpaid more than $10,000.
