One thing they discussed is christine blasey ford did not want to testify about on monday, there will not be a monday hearing. she proposed that brett kavanaugh would testify first and she would go second. they want to come back and say they want kavanaugh to go first and whether or not outside counsel would be allowed to question both ford and kavanaugh at that hearing. republicans were concerned about the optics of having 11 men on the panel question ford.

The judiciary committee says he wants to have a hearing on monday at which both ford and kavanaugh would appear and only those two. he suggested that ford would likely go first, followed by kavanaugh. but the democrats are saying well, wait a minute, we want other people to be heard as well. and senator susan collins of maine went so far to suggest that perhaps the way this hearing should unfold is that an attorney for christine blasey ford should question kavanaugh and then an attorney for the judge should in turn question ford and then the senators get to ask their questions a short time ago...

Experts. that's still open. they're supposed to be discussing this. but grassley put out a really harsh statement after this phone call today between ford's attorneys and the judiciary committee and that says no one can dictate who questions our witnesses and what order and what manner. so he's definitely playing hard ball here as these negotiations continue. but dr. ford, she's also given in on a couple things and she said that she is willing to testify first, she wanted kavanaugh to testify first. so that is one big thing that she has decided to give up on. >> you brought up some interesting...
