The AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2024™ & AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Indonesia 2024™ Qualifying Round 1 draw took place last night in Kuala Lumpur, with Australia learning their qualification path for both tournaments.   Our CommBank Young Matildas & CommBank Junior Matildas will travel to the Kyrgyz Republic and Mongolia in their quest to advance to the next round of qualifying for the AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup & AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup, respectively.

The AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2024™ & AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Indonesia 2024™ Qualifiers draw will take place in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 5:00 pm AEDT.  Our CommBank Young Matildas & CommBank Junior Matildas will learn their opponents for the first round of qualifying for the AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup & AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup, respectively.  All eyes will be on Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to see the fate of both teams in their upcoming qualifying campaign. 

It's onto the AFF U18 Women's Championship semi-finals for the CommBank Junior Matildas, who extended their undefeated streak to three last night when they defeated Myanmar, 2-1. After already securing their spot in the semis with the two dominant performances against the Philippines (4-0) and Malaysia (8-0), the third victory against Myanmar was the icing on the cake for the Australians who have finished at the top of Group B and will take on the runners up from Group A on Thursday at 11 pm AEST for a spot in the final.

The CommBank Junior Matildas kicked off their AFF U18 Women’s Championship campaign with a 4-0 win over the Philippines, the win was the team's first international activity since their involvement in the 2019 AFC U16 Women's Championship where they finished fourth in the tournament three years ago.   Australia goes to the top of Group B after their opening game, with Avaani Prakash scoring twice and India Beier and Maya Lobo both finding the back of the net in the second half.
