Mumbai: A 35-year-old police constable attached to Kherwadi Police station was allegedly hit by a speeding biker at a nakabandi checkpoint in the early hours of Friday. The constable Shankar Magar, who sustained a fracture to his right leg, near the knee, was allegedly denied admission in Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai Central as he did not have an RT-PCR test and after a short struggle, he finally was admitted at SL Raheja Hospital in Mahim, where he is undergoing treatment.
According to police, the incident occurred around 3.30am, when Magar was on night duty at a nakabandi point near Kherwadi on the Western Express Highway. The accused biker, an 18-year-old youth Sahil Shaikh, was on his way to Mahim, failed to control his speed despite applying brakes and dashed into Magar, injuring his right leg. While the teen was arrested immediately and booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for rash driving, Magar was rushed to the civic-run Bhabha Hospital, where preliminary examination revealed that he has sustained a fracture and was asked to visit another hospital for treatment.

Music composer Shravan Rathod, of popular music director duo Nadeem-Shravan, passed away on April 22 due to COVID-19 related complications. As soon as the news broke, messages of condolences poured in from all sides on social media.

Music composer Shravan Rathod of Nadeem-Shravan duo died of Covid-19 complications in Mumbai's S L Raheja Hospital on Thursday evening. The veteran musician was diagnosed with Covid-19 recently and he had multiple medical problems. He was kept on ventilator support. Confirming the news, Dr Kirti Bhushan of Raheja Hospital said that the cause of death is cardiomyopathy with multiple organ failure due to Covid-19. Several Bollywood celebrities took to social media to pay tribute to the late composer.

Last night, one of the most iconic music composer, Shravan Rathod, of the Nadeem-Shravan duo passed away. Shravan had been diagnosed with COVID-19 and was on ventilator for the past two days. Admitted in Raheja Hospital in Mahim, Shravan Rathod breathed his last due to organ failure. While the industry mourns his loss, his wife and elder son would not get his last glimpse.
Lyricist Sameer Anjaan spoke in detail about Shravan’s condition before he breathed his last and said that he suffered from multiple organ failure which was triggered by the Coronavirus. Shravan Rathod’s wife and elder son are currently recovering from COVID-19 in Seven Hills Hospital in Andheri East.
