On the third day of fever, I had a severe headache, but the doctor ignored my complaint. Disappointed, I consulted another doctor who had ‘treated thousands’ earlier.

It all began when I developed a mild fever. I went in for the RT-PCR test, and though my report came negative, I was not very satisfied with my health. I tele-consulted a doctor, who diagnosed I had Covid, but told me not to worry as my symptoms were mild.

Breaking bread together: Delhi couple turn family-owned restaurant into high-end bakery

Express News Service
Mandira Bhalla and Dhruv Lamba's love story reads like a Bollywood potboiler - boy meets girl at a wedding, thereafter bump into each other at different functions, fall in love and get married. The 41-year-olds, who have been married for 16 years now, were born and brought up in Delhi.
Dhruv's family owns the iconic Kwality Restaurant, started by his grandfather Peshori Lal Lamba at Connaught Place in 1940, while Mandira’s parents are avid art collectors Nitin and Anjali Bhalla.
"The Kwality group had the rare privilege of laying the foundation stone of India’s post-Independence food landscape. It introduced the country to the delights of ice-creams, hotels, and fine dining. I wanted to take the business to the next level when I returned from Les Roche, Switzerland after completing graduation in business administration, 20 years ago. We extended operations into bakery and confectionery products, and changed the name to Bread & More," informs Dhruv, the Executive Director of Kwality Group.

Yoga, home remedies and a sound mind

In this disastrous second wave, taking recourse to the natural way our ancestors lived – in complete harmony with the other elements of nature is the need of the hour, according to health industry experts. To begin with, say spiritualists, we must stop constantly talking about it. This is not some figment of my imagination, but the fact is wherever our thoughts go, the energy flows. Whatever we think of gets more power.

“The whole world is talking about the pandemic, and thus giving it more power, unknowingly though,” says Jaspal Soni, Founder, Chananda Cultural Society, Kalkaji, New Delhi. “Please don’t take it as some flighty untruth, this has been proven by science too, through its experiments,” he informs. A number of spiritualists vouch for this. Major (retd) Dalbir Singh, who runs the spiritual group, Beings of Light, says, “This is a fact. The mind has great power. Whatever you set it on, it will manifest. All this talking about viruses has made it more powerful. It is time we focus our energies and thoughts on healing. And this is the first step towards recovery. Keep your mind occupied with things like: I am healthy, I am gaining health, I am happy.”

'Theatre is a good training ground'- The New Indian Express

Express News Service
Pavleen Gujral is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and a guitarist, but it is her passion for acting that tops the list. A law graduate from the Delhi University, Pavleen forayed into acting while in school, and continued with it through her college days. “I was a part of the college dramatic society, and used to take part in various theatre festivals like Mahindra Festival, IHC Festival, even Prithvi Festival. Working in theatre helps you learn everything, from acting to singing and dancing to oration and recitation.
It is a good training ground,” says the actress, currently seen in the movie Bhor streaming on MX Player. With screenings at Cairo International Film Festival, International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Indo-Berlin Film Week and Melbourne India Film Festival, Australia, Bhor is being appreciated for its storyline, and so is Pavleen for her role. Earlier seen in Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare (Netflix), Marzi and Angry Indian Goddesses, and Made in Heaven, etc., Pavleen says that her basis of saying yes to a role depends on the “script and the director”.
