New Delhi [India], May 4 (ANI): Bollywood star and philanthropist Sonu Sood along with his team on Monday worked the entire night to provide oxygen to ARAK Hospital in Bengaluru from where they had received an SOS call.
At least 20-22 lives might have had run into danger over the alleged unavailability of oxygen cylinders if Sonu and his team had not acted promptly. On Tuesday a member from the team of Sonu Sood Charity foundation got a call from MR Satyanarayan, the inspector of Yelahanka Old Town about a situation at ARAK Hospital, which had already lost 2 lives as they didn't have stock of oxygen.

The treatment cannot be used for patients who are already admitted in the hospital for Covid-19.
A hospital in Ras Al Khaimah has introduced an antibody treatment for Covid that could ‘greatly reduce’ a patient’s risk of complications from the infection. It is reported to be effective in halting the progression of the disease, saving patients from hospitalisation.
RAK Hospital is now using this drug called Bamlanivimab, an injection that neutralises the virus and has shown to be safe and effective during the trials. The research so far shows that for certain people, taking this drug may help limit the amount of virus in the body.

Covid-19 can infect anyone, however, certain groups of people are at higher risk of contracting the virus or developing complications. The elderly and those with underlying health conditions have been considered vulnerable. But doctors in the UAE have stressed that poor lifestyle is another Covid risk factor. Obesity, in particular, must be addressed.
“A study has found that obese people who contracted Covid were 113 per cent more likely to land in hospital than people of healthy weight,” advanced laparoscopic surgeon Dr JS Rajkumar had explained.
