Both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned for the day on Tuesday as the Opposition members continued their protest over the Adani issue.
The ruling front and the opposition members are at loggerheads over the Adani issue and the disqualification of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from the Lower House.
In the Lok Sabha, soon after the House assembled at 11 am, some Opposition members threw torn papers at the Chair for the second day in a row. Some of them, dressed in black, were seen standing in the Well, while one MP was also seen trying to put a black cloth on the table of the Chair.
Dressed in black to protest against Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification, Opposition MPs carried placards that read ‘Democracy in Danger’ and chanted ‘Modi, Adani bhai bhai’.
