JAMMU: Amid the ongoing DDC polls in J&K, two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists from Pakistan were killed and their accomplice from Shopian arrested in an anti-terror operation in Poonch district’s Poshana area late Sunday, IGP (Jammu Range) Mukesh Singh said.
“As per inputs, three days ago three terrorists had crossed over from Pakistan and were on their way to Shopian. They were being chased by police,” J&K DGP Dilbag Singh said. The trio was trapped at Chatta-Pani area on Mughal Road which connects Shopian and Poonch districts. DGP Singh said police parties reached the spot a day earlier but couldn’t launch an operation due to snowfall.
