Hazrat Nizamuddin mosque can be operational during Ramadan: Delhi High Court orders

Delhi High Court on Monday allowed the mosque in Hazrat Nizamuddin to be made operational for Ramadan.
The offering of prayers at the mosque during Ramadan should be subject to the guidelines issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
New Delhi: Amid the rising cases of COVID-19 in the national capital, the Delhi High Court on Monday (April 12) allowed the mosque in Hazrat Nizamuddin to be made operational for the devotees to offer prayers during the month of Ramadan starting from April 14.
The offering of prayers at the mosque during Ramadan should be subject to the guidelines issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) with regard to social distancing and other precautions in the wake of surge in COVID-19 cases.

The Islamic holy month of Ramadan or Ramzan is all set to begin from Tuesday, April 13 while Taraweeh began on April 12 after Isha prayers. Muslims celebrate the start of Ramadan by greeting each other with "Ramadan Mubarak" and "Ramadan Kareem", which means 'a blessed and generous month to you'.
Very much like last year, this time too, the festivities will be a bit different due to the COVID-19 pandemic. People are advised to stay inside and have to avoid stepping outside until utmost emergency during the holy month due to the virus.

Mumbai: In view of the surge in coronavirus cases, the Maharashtra government has banned gatherings and processions during the month of Ramzan starting from April 14. The order comes as Maharashtra on April 12 reported 51,751 fresh coronavirus cases, a day after logging the highest 63,294 infections since the pandemic began.
Times Now’s Kajal reported that the Udhhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra government has directed that no gatherings and processions will be allowed and advised people to break the fast at home and follow social distancing norms.
