YPSILANTI, MI — A former Eastern Michigan University student said she plans to sue the university after a full-time lecturer allegedly sent photos of his penis to her in August.
EMU alumnae Destinee Hayes and her attorneys, Maurice Davis of Davis Law Group PLLC and Jasmine Rand of Rand Law LLC , said they have filed an intent to sue the university for sexual and racial discrimination, as well as Title IX violations.
After graduating this year with a degree in criminology, Hayes reached out to a lecturer in August requesting a letter of recommendation, according to the notice. Soon after, she received “an unsolicited and obscene email” from the lecturer that included a picture of his penis, and then another email asking for a photo of her genitalia and solicitation for sexual acts, the notice states.
