Sheriff John Spears reports the following ongoing activities for the year and narrative excerpts from the week ending Dec. 21. 12/16 Anne Piper, Chaseburg, hit a deer while traveling eastbound on County Road K, in the town of Hamburg. Piper did not report any injuries. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. 12/18 A herd of cows, a paint horse, and three draft horses were loose on County Road D, town of Clinton.
