Article content Despite having earmarked $2.2 million more in spending for 2021, the United Counties of SDG’s 2021 draft budget plans on collecting $20,175 less from taxpayers this year. The county is able to both spend more, but require less from taxpayers because it received a significant increase in funding from various sources — chiefly through its transportation division and its corporate funding.
