The survey found those who would vote to take Britain back into the EU dropped from 47 percent to 39 percent while the number of people who wanted to stay out of the bloc rose from 38 percent to 41 percent. The number who would not vote or didn't know went up from 13 percent to 18 percent.

The Stay European movement is asking people to ignore options which include British, English, Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish in answer to the question about how they identify and instead tick the "other" box and write in "European".
