Kejriwal accuses Modi government of 'orchestrating' violence at Red Fort

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal, on Sunday, accused the Modi government of ‘orchestrating the violence on Republic Day at Red Fort’.
While addressing a ‘Kisan Mahapanchayat’ in Meerut, Kejriwal said, “The entire Red Fort incident was planned by them. Many people told me that they were deliberately shown the wrong path as they didn't know the streets of Delhi. Those who hoisted the flag were their (BJP) workers. Our farmers can be anything but anti-nationals.”
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly come out in favour of the farmers protesting the new farm laws. Kejriwal has visited Delhi's Singhu border, a major protest site, twice and expressed his support to the farmers.

Delhi-UP Ghazipur border on Thursday remained tensed, where the farmers are staging protests against the Centre's three farm laws for over two months. The Ghaziabad administration has given an ultimatum to the protesters to vacate the site by tonight but the farmer leaders have refused to leave the area and said they won't be intimidated.

Actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu, who has been booked in connection with the religious flag incident at Red Fort, has said he needs some time to bring out the truth and then will join the investigation. The 36-year-old Sidhu is in the eye of a storm for being among the protesters who put up a religious flag atop the Red Fort on Republic Day.
âArrest warrant has been issued against me and also a lookout notice has been issued against me. First I want to give this message that I will join the investigation,â Sidhu said in a video uploaded on Facebook.

A slogan, “Our Route Ring Road”, was coined and placards printed. Sikh writer Sukhpreet Singh Udhoke posted a picture of one such small placard while flanked by Kisan Mazdoor Sangharash Committee president Satnam Singh Pannu and others. KMSC had announced that it would take the Ring Road route on Monday evening.

He returned after failing to do so and then posted a Facebook Live message in which he said it was everybody’s responsibility to ensure no one was harmed during Tuesday’s march. However, Deep Sidhu also came there and, later, some Sikh activists intervened. At the time, a five-member committee was formed to talk to SKM leaders. Though the issue was sorted out at night, it had become clear Tuesday would be no cakewalk.
