Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has received the All Progressives Congress, National Committee for the Party’s Registration and Revalidation Exercise, led by Alhaji Lawal Samaila Yakawada, to the state.
The committee was received by Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja, on behalf of his boss, Alhaji Yahaya Bello at the state house in Lokoja.
Chief Onoja while welcoming them to the state, he assured them of maximum security being enjoyed in the state.
He also disclosed that governor Bello in his capacity as Committee Chairman of the mobilisation team for women, youths and people with disabilities had kick-started earnest consultations with relevant stakeholders to ensure the success of the exercise. ....

Ganduje says era of inconclusive election over in Kano

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State while inaugurating All Progressives Congress (APC) Registration/Revalidation Exercise committees in the state assured that the era of inconclusive election was over.
The state committees were inaugurated during Stakeholders Meeting on the exercise held at Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano.
This was just as Ganduje received a 7-man committee sent from the national headquarters of the party led by Dr Kabiru Ibrahim Matazu, who commended the administration of Ganduje for being committed to the exercise.
According to him, “Kano State is the largest democracy in the country. Looking at the population and number of elected people in different positions. We have 24 members in the House of Representatives, 44 local government chairmen, 484 elected councillors from our wards, APC has 30 members of the State Assembly, while PDP has 10 members etc. ....

2023 presidency: I have no answer to your call now, Bello tells support group

GOVERNOR Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has said he has no answer to those urging him to vie for the 2023 presidential election at the moment.
Rather,the governor asked his supporters to go out enmase to mobilize youths across the country to register for the ongoing All Progressives Congress,APC membership and revalidation exercise.
The governor’s statement was in response to the ultimatum given to him by one of his support groups under the umbrella of GYB2PYB Youth Support Group to heed its call and immediately declare his intention to contest for the poll.
This was related to members of the support group by the national coordinator,Amb.Oladele Nihi,in Abuja yesterday during a meeting he convened to brief members of the governor’s response to their earlier 14-day ultimatum to him. ....

Mai Mala Buni, the National Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has disclosed that those who undermine the party’s registration and revalidation exercise will be punished.
The Yobe Governor spoke on Wednesday when he inaugurated the Committee for Membership Registration/Revalidation Exercise in Abuja.
The team is chaired by Niger State Governor, Sani Bello.
Buni said the process was to reposition and strengthen the party, recalling that the last membership drive was in 2014.
He pointed out that APC had, in the last seven years, received millions of politicians, including the ones who left other political parties but were yet to be registered. ....
