On top of this, Met Ãireann has also issued a Status Yellow wind warning for Cork and Kerry that will be valid for the same 24-hour period. According to the forecaster, southerly - later veering westerly - winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65km/h with gusts of 80 to 110 km/h.
