Udupi, Dec 12: In a fire mishap that occurred in Robosoft Technologies at Santhekatte near here, after midnight on Friday December 11, goods worth Rs 60 lac including computers, furniture and interiors were gutted.
This information was shared with Daijiworld by the fire service personnel. The fire was noticed at 12.45 am by the company guards who were on duty and they informed the fire service immediately.
According to the guards on duty, an electric short circuit in the server room that is in the underground might have caused the fire. There were switchrooms on the first and second floors with computers. As there was no proper ventilation, the smoke had spread to the third floor also. ....

UDUPI: An accidental fire that broke out in the corporate office of Robosoft Technologies at Santhekatte near here in the wee-hours of Saturday caused extensive damage on the first and second floors. Three fire tenders – two from Udupi and one from Malpe that were pressed into service within five minutes of the incident being reported at 12.45am doused the fire after an operation that lasted 90-minutes, district fire officer (DFO) Vasanth Kumar said.
However, by the time the fire and emergency services personnel left the venue, it was well past 8.30am. The first and second floor that housed the server and internet switch rooms and the furniture on these floors bore the brunt of fire that was likely caused by a short circuit, the DFO said. The loss has been assessed at Rs 60-lakh. The technical team from the company is expected to make its own loss assessment later, the DFO noted. ....
