On the evening of 17 November, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to consolidate their positions on the left bank of Dnipro river on the Kherson front.

The Russians have kept trying to surround Avdiivka and Ukraine's Defence Forces repelled 17 attacks on the Avdiivka front. They also repelled 12 Russian attacks on the Bakhmut front, and 20 Russian assaults on the Marinka front.
Within the last 24 hours, 58 combat clashes took place at the front. In total, the Russians launched four missile attacks and 29 airstrikes, as well as 46 attacks from multiple-launch rocket systems. The Russians have kept trying to surround Avdiivka in Donetsk Oblast, and have conducted assaults near Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka, but Ukrainian soldiers are holding the defence; a total of 80 clashes took place at the front during the day.
