The Israeli military has announced that eight soldiers including a high-ranking official have been killed while fighting Hamas forces in the Gaza strip.
Lt. Col. Tomer Grinberg, Maj. Roei Meldas Maj. Moshe Avram Bar On, Sgt. Achia Daskal, SSgt. Oriya Yaakov, Cpt. Liel Hayo, Maj. Ben Shelly, MSgt. Rom Hecht, Sgt. Eron Aloni, and Col. Ben Bashet, were all announced to have been killed on Tuesday.
