Ronald Williams, alias 'Bupsy', a resident of Summerset Avenue, Kingston 16, has been charged with two counts of murder, three counts of shooting with intent, illegal possession of firearm and illegal possession of ammunition. The charges stemmed from the double murder of 25-year-old Ian Reid of Cloverly Road, Kingston, and 29-year-old Oshane Watson, a chef of White Plate Meadows in Spanish Town, St Catherine. Reports from the Kingston Central police were that on Friday, July 2, the men were sitting along the roadway at about 1:40pm, when Williams and another man armed with firearms approached and fired several shots at them.

KINGSTON, Jamaica— Police say one man has been arrested in connection with Friday's double murder on Rum Lane in central Kingston.
The deceased have been identified as 29-year-old chef, Oshoy Watson, of White Plate Meadows in Spanish Town, St Catherine and 25-year-old Ian Reid of Cloverly Road, Kingston.
Three other men were also injured during the attack.
The police said that about 1:40 pm, the men were sitting along the roadway when two gunmen approached and fired several shots at them.

The identity of the man was not released by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), which tweeted about the suspect's arrest on Monday. "The Kingston Central police picked up the suspect a short while ago in a targeted operation. He is to be interviewed in the presence of an attorney. More later," the JCF tweeted. Names of victims in Rum Lane shooting released Friday, July 02, 2021
KINGSTON, Jamaica— The identities of the men who were killed in a double murder on Rum Lane in the violence-plagued Central Kingston community on Friday afternoon, have been released by the police.
The dead men have been identified as 24-year-old Ian 'Tiki' Reid and 28-year-old Oshane Watson. It is reported about 1:30 pm, a gunman got out of a car on North Street and then walked onto Rum Lane where a group of people were sitting.
