Quebec provincial police take over Gatineau homicide investigation due to possible organized crime link
GATINEAU, QC. -- Gatineau police (SPVG) say the provincial police force is now leading the investigation into a recent homicide. In a media release on Wednesday, the SPVG said they have transferred responsibility for the investigation to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) due to a possible link to organized crime, but a team of local investigators will still work full-time on the case in partnership with the provincial police force.
