Nashik: Slamming the Centre over the Reserve Bank of India's decision to withdraw Rs 2000 notes from circulation, Maharashtra Navirman Sena (MNS)
The Rs 2,000 currency note was introduced in November 2016, when Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes were withdrawn.
The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister was commenting on the Reserve Bank of India announcing withdrawal of Rs 2,000 currency notes from circulation. The bank said existing notes in circulation can either be deposited in bank accounts or exchanged by September 30.
The withdrawal of Rs 2,000 notes has come as a major setback to anti-India forces as their financial life line has been crushed with this decision
The State Bank of India on Sunday announced that it would be allowing customers to exchange the Rs 2000 note without a requisition slip for amounts up to Rs 20,000.
