Meet Kasey! A Sweet, Lovable Senior Kitty Hoping to Find Her Forever Home! | The River 105.9

Kasey is like a new cat compared to the day she arrived at the Connecticut Humane Society. She was scared and confused and wanted to hide. So Kasey headed to a volunteer foster home where she could decompress in a quiet, cozy environment. It took a few weeks, but now she is out and about, asking for attention and showing how sweet she is. She loves when someone simply sits or lies on the ground to talk to her, and will purr the entire time.
This 13-year-old kitty would be okay living with kids if they are 10 years old and up and gentle with and respectful of pets, and she’d prefer to be your one and only pet. She’ll need time to settle into her new home; adoption counselors can give her new person tips on helping her feel comfortable.

Our boy Stanley is ready to greet the world with his infectious smile. He is a ray of sunshine everyday. Stanley is our male 2 ½ year old Labrador Retriever Mix! Stanley weighs approximately 59 pounds and is fully grown. He is such a sweet boy and is ready to meet his forever family. Stanley has a medium energy level, he is good with other dogs and children, his relationship with cats is unknown.
A good day for Stanley is to run around or go on a nice long walk in the woods with his family. He loves playing with other dogs to work off his energy. Stanley is currently in the process of leash, crate, and house training. He will need the support of his family in order to practice and succeed in his training. Positive reinforcement and kisses are a must to show him he’s doing the right thing. The perfect home for Stanley would be in a family that has the time and commitment in training a young dog. Stanley needs lots of time to run around outside, he will also need regular walks in order to practice his skills, and get acquainted to his new surroundings. Stanley will make his forever family proud, he can’t wait to give kisses and be the pride of his family.

Meet Howie! A Smart and Lovable Pup Looking for His Forever Family! | The River 105.9

Introducing Howie! Howie is a 7-8 year old bully breed mix (maybe some American Bulldog), who weighs about 80 lbs and has medium energy. Howie had quite the journey before coming to POA. He was picked up as a stray at a local park and spent a long time recovering from this trauma. He spent quite a few months with a local Animal Control, where they worked hard to help Howie learn to trust people, walk nicely on a leash, and learn basic obedience. Howie is a very smart boy and loves treats, so training him is fun if you come with a proper treat supply. He is already learning the “touch” command.

Beloved internet sensation April the Giraffe has died at the age of 20. The world grew to know and love April back in 2017, while following her pregnancy journey on an internet livestream.
